Hello!
I’m Priyanshu. I’m a mother of two (6 and ~2).
I studied computer science and spent a decade building and scaling software. Later, I switched into product marketing. I’ve always loved going deep, understanding how things work, especially the things that shape how we live and feel. And once I understand something, I can’t help but write about it.
Seven years ago, I read Why Zebras Don’t Get Ulcers by Robert Sapolsky.
It explained the neuroscience behind experiences like stress and anxiety, not as personal flaws, but as outputs of how different parts of the nervous system interact.
It showed how interpretation of an event shapes the nervous system’s response.
And most importantly, how the brain can learn new ways of interpreting the same situation.
Nothing changed overnight.
But over time, I began to notice patterns in my inner world, both helpful and unhelpful ones. I became curious about what different parts of the brain were doing in those moments. And whether I could exit certain states more easily or enter others more reliably.
Slowly, I reached a point where I could say, “I know why this is happening, and I know how to move toward something else.”
That small sense of agency mattered more than I expected.
That’s what also led me to start writing Seen - to share what I’m learning and applying in daily life.
And to help you understand the mechanisms beneath your feelings and states of mind, so you can see what’s driving you and what you can shift.
Because it isn’t willpower alone that shapes our emotional lives. It’s a brain that learns—again and again—to notice, pause, and choose differently.
